Design it in Illustrator

Download the Outside and Inside templates above and open them in Illustrator. Each is drawn at 1:1 in millimetres.
Design inside the artwork layer. Run backgrounds out into the blue bleed band and keep text inside it. Follow the red TOP arrows: some panels sit upside down on the flat sheet on purpose.
The inside sheet is mirrored, as if you are standing inside the box, so design it the right way round.
Keep the artboard size. Outline your text (Type > Create Outlines) and embed any placed images.
Export with File > Export > Export As > SVG (the dieline and guides are removed for you), or as PNG with Use Artboards ticked, or upload your saved .ai or .pdf. For PNG, PDF and AI, hide the guides and dieline layers first.
Drop the file onto the 3D view, or press Upload.

Space opens the box · F unfolds it · R resets the view.
